Since installing Windows XP Pro , I have lost some HP Deskjet 722c functions-especially the "book" feature. Is there any "fix"for this problem? Thanks, Sara

Printer drivers provided with Windows XP are typically not full featured.
Have you checked with HP for a Windows XP driver for your printer?

I had the exact same problem about a year ago, Sara. Win XP with an HP 722.
Only got limited functionality. At that time there were no updated drivers
available for the printer to interface properly with XP. My solution -
bought a new printer. I would suggest visiting HP's website to see if they
may have developed XP drivers for the 722.

Go to the HP site at www.hp.com and download the latest drivers for
your printer.

However, it may be that the manufacturer's drivers do not support some
features that were supported in Windows 98.

Good luck

A lot of the printers of that age are not going to be fully supported in XP.
HP doesn't see the need to make new drivers, they want to sell you new
printers.

You might also find that the older parallel port printers really hog the CPU
processing when printing large graphical pages. You can improve that
performance by getting a USB to Parallel conversion cable, and connecting
your printer to a USB port.
