Print Spooler

I'm sharing a printer and all workstations are on Windows
2000, the workstations that are accessing the shared
printer, there print spooler has stopped unexpectedly.
Why is this happening and how can it be resolved?

Usually this means that the printer driver on the clients is not the same
edition as on the server, but these kinds of issues are very printer driver
specific.

So, what make and model of printer is involved here?

Also, how are the printers being added to the workstations?
