Print Spooler Service not starting

I have the following error message appearing - I am unable to use my printer.
Printer is an MP360 (all-in-one) Canon.
I have windows XP home
the error message is as follows:

Could not start the print spooler service on local computer. error 1068: The
dependency service or group failed to start.

HKEY:_dyn-data\config manager\ Enum cannot be found

Google: print server service start. The answer is there.
