Is there any way to print the results of the windows xp search (for files
and folders)?

Use the print screen utility. Press ALT/PRTSC
Then open START| programs | accessories | PAINT
press EDIT | PASTE

and you have a graphic image of the search screen window. You can print
that or save it as a .JPG file.
