Print problems post upgrade

L

Lionel Mrocki

Updated from Win 98 to XP, and upgraded Word 97 to 2000 (at work, not
here at home).

Since then documents (with boxes and images) created in Word 97 keep
printing in a oversize format (as though I were trying to construct an
A2 poster from 4 sheets of A4)

The printer does have size scaling/multiple sheet options, but all the
settings are as for normal A4 100%.

I've tried copying and pasting into a new Word 2000 document. It also
seemed to happen to the Word 97 doc after using the SAVE AS to try to
force saving as Word 2000.

Any clues?

Do you have all of the patches installed for Word 2000? I seem to
recall there were some printing issues corrected in one of the service
releases.

You can use the Office Product Updates site and use the Scan utility
to find any needed updates:
http://office.microsoft.com/ProductUpdates/default.aspx

Or you can download the patches manually. Here is some info on how to
obtain all of the updates:

O2K SP2:
