Print pooling

Actually 2003 server, but when I pool two printers and turn one printer off, that printer still is allocated one print job and will never print because the printer is physically turned off. We need to keep in pool so the operators can simply power on if the other one fails. How can we get it to not allocated that first print job to the unavailable printer each night
Thank you, Jason

You need some 3rd party software which checks the status of the printer
before it prints, its not trivial to implement so won't be cheap.
