Print Notifications

Hi:

I'm running Windows XP Professional with SP2, fully updated. I'm on my home
wireless network and I would like to get print notifications when i send a
document to a printer.

I have tried multiple things to get them to turn on. I have gone throught
the MSKB and already attempted the processes listed in Articles 831582 and
308217.

Any other advice?

In case it matters, the printer is hooked up to another computer, also
running Windows XP Pro with SP2. The printer is an hp Laserjet 1000 Series. I
have a local printer (Epson Stylus Photo R200) that I would also like to get
notifications for. Our network is not on a domain. There is no problem in
printing the document, I'm just trying to get the notifications to appear.

Notifications are part of the printer drivers package. If this option is
not included in the drivers, then there's not much you can do except contact
the manufacturers of the printers in question.
