Gridlines never print (http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/Gridlines.htm).
I'm not certain what you mean by "i framed several", but if you used frames or
text boxes then you can right-click the edge of the frame/box and set the line
color. But both frames and text boxes have "Automatic" (generally black) lines
by default, so I don't know why yours don't.

If you had started by inserting a table, and pasted your pictures into the
table's cells, again you would have had printing cell borders by default. That's
usually the recommended method, especially if you want the pictures to align in
rows and columns.

It occurred to me after posting that you want the gridlines to show inside the
pictures as if you had used graph paper, not just borders around the pictures.
Again, gridlines never print, and cannot be made to print.

You're going to have to use the line drawing tool to make a printable grid. The
quick way is to draw one line along a gridline, copy it, paste it, and snap the
pasted copy to the next gridline. Then continue pasting until you have enough
lines in that direction. Drag a bounding box around all the lines, right-click
and choose Grouping > Group. Now copy the group and paste. Grab the green handle
and rotate the pasted group 90 degrees; position it over the first group; then
select both and group them. You now have one complete set of graph lines, which
you can paste into each graph and set its wrapping to Behind Text.

There are websites with that work already done for you. Try Google - I
*know* you'll find exactly what you want out there somewhere.
