Print Failure - Outlook Express (incompatible version of the RPC stub)

While attempting to print an Outlook Express e-mail message from the "Sent Items" folder The following error is always encountered:

Line: 228
Code: 0
"incompatible version of the RPC stub"

Attempts to find help on this "specific" problem on support.microsoft.com and Google have not uncovered a solution.

O/S = Windows 98
Outlook Express = version 6.0

Running "scandisk" and Norton System works does not fix the problem.
"Fixing" Internet Explorer and Outlook Express do not fix the problem.

Has anyone diagnosed this...? Any help appreciated....
