Prince of persia: sands Of Time - water rendering problem

with AA and Aniso, the water surfaces glow like plasma or something :)
completely blinding white glow throughout the game, on all water surfaces.

if i disable AA and Aniso, then there's almost no water effect present, just
some blueish jelly effect.

Has anybody got this game running OK on 9600 or 9800 card?

thanks.

I had the same problem with the demo. I decided to hold off getting the game
until this problem is fixed. JLC

it runs perfect on my 9700 pro. all i have to do is turn AA off, and just
play it at 1600x1200. there isn't a need for AA at that resolution, and you
get no blurry effects from AA since it's OFF. i had the same water problem
until i simply turned AA off.

Well known problem, and the current fix is: DON'T USE AA. Hopefully a real
fix will come soon. Don't know a about aniso though. I've setting aniso to
app pref, so I guess it's not used in PoP. The water is supposed to be quite
translucent.
