Primary Disk Fails

Hello,
Every time I boot my computer with my 60 gig WD hard drive. I get Primary
Master Disk Fails, no matter if I put it as a master/slave first/second IDE
cable. The bios DOES reconize this drive. And so do many, including WD's
utilites, reconize it. After it first crashed I used a program called
"getdataback" to pull of anything I wanted. Then I was able to format it
threw the Win 2k pro setup disk. It copied the install files to the HDD and
then when it rebooted, same error. If I hook this HDD to my IDE/RAID card I
have installed on a pci slot I can read and access it fine, but with this
option I can not start a OS off of it. I can also access the drive threw
FDISK, but I can't when its hooked up to the IDE on the motherboard. I have
a seperate HDD that has win98 on it, hook that up to the mobo and works
find. So its not the I/O from the motherboard. I have formated the drive
twice, in both NTFS and FAT32 and have formated the MBR. And I STILL recieve
the Primary Master Disk Fail. Any suggestions? Thanks
Aaron
