Previewer: This file cannot be previewed because of an error....

I've been looking for a while and cannot find an answer to this one. Hope
someone can help.

In Outlook 07 with Vista Ultimate, I'm having a problem previewing some
different file types. I can preview pictures (jpb, gif...) and I have been
able to preview word documents but I'm having problems with some others like
PowerPoint, Media Player, and Excel. I may be having problems with others
but just have not tried to preivew that file type yet.

I have exported the registry keys, removed all of them, then performed a
repair on Office but no luck. I have downloaded a 3rd party program to see
if the items are disabled extensions (Stephen Toub: Preview Handles
Association Editor) but still no luck. I have all the updates installed for
office also.

The only thing that I have not tried yet is uninstalling Office and
re-installing which may be more of a pain.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Running a repair is less troublesome than manualyy checking registry
entries. It doesn't do anything to your configuration settings either.

do you have office or just outlook installed?

Sorry for not being more specific. I'm running Office 07. All the programs
are functioning correctly also.
