How can I make all Excel files I created previewable?
That is, when I choose FILE, OPEN

Hi Anna,
Not clear what you mean. When you use File|Open do you want Excel to be in
Print Preview mode?

You mean view the file before you open it??
There are programs that you can use to view a file in a explorer window.

You're welcome. You can create a new default template, with your
preferred settings:

1. Open a new workbook.
2. Choose File>Properties
3. On the Summary tab, check 'Save preview picture'.
4. Click OK
5. Choose Save As
6. From the Save As Type dropdown, choose Template (*.xlt)
7. Name the File "Book.xlt"
8. Save it in the XLStart folder
(may be in Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office or
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel)

When you click the New button on the toolbar, the new workbook will be
based on this template.
