Preview / Reading Pane and Refresh (F5) menus are greyed out

My OL2003 has just started a strange problem. The Preview / Reading pane
and the F5 refresh selections have been suddenly greyed out and the reading
pane has stopped functioning. No matter what I do, I can't get it back. I
have reset the menu items back to default. I have uninstalled and
re-installed Outlook 2003 and done a detect and repair.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Try a reset on the View for that folder.
