Preview Pane

How do you turn off the Preview Pane globally? I can do
it per folder but not for all folders of newly created
ones.
 
Thanks, but that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I don't want to have to go into each folder individually.
 
OK, Thanks, I'm trying that. However so far I have not been able to find the switch that you mentioned. (I can not find in the when I go the properties of the shortcut. Where would I find the place to set the switch?
 
I successfully ran the command line switch. Thanks for the link. Do I have to run this each time I fire-up Outlook?

I got the following tip from Joyce. (See below) It seems to work. However, I think that I may have to run it each time that I start Outlook
