Preview Pane Problem

M

Mike Fox

I have the 'Preview Pane' enabled in Outlook's Inbox. All
the attachments in my mail-lists email used to appear appeared in the
grey header, and I could read the entire subject line of each
attachment. Now all the attachments appear down in the white area as
icons with truncated subjects that I can't read. Don't know what made
them change. Could someone please tell me how to get back to
to the full subject text in the grey part of the preview pane..

Thanks

Mike

Change your mailformat to Plain Text or HTML. Tools-> Options-> tab Mail
Format

Hope this helps!

Yes, that worked. It's also exasperating and explains what happened.
I had been operating in HTML for some time, but I could never get the
spell checker to work. When I changed to Rich Text, the spell checker
worked, but it changed how the attachments displayed. I guess I'm
stuck with Plain Text--unless you also know how to make the spell
checker work in HTML.

Thanks

You're welcome! :)

The spell check must work in HTML as well by the way. You can enable this op
the Spelling tab. Configure it to check spelling before sending and
configure the right language. If you want to have the same spellcheck
features as in Word you'll need to set Word as your e-mail editor on the
mail format tab.

Post back if it's not working.
