Preview of message including graphics and links no longer visible

Up until yesterday my Outlook inbox opened with a column of messages and a
screen that previewed the entire message including pictures and links. The
message that appeared related to the highlighted message or the first message
in the list. How do i get that feature back?

Take a look on the View menu under either Preview Pane or Reading Pane. You
should be able to turn it on (and depending on version, set its location)
