Preview doesn't match Design

Joan

I'm up-dating our website using Front Page 2003. About
1/3 of the time the page doesn't look the same in PREVIEW
as it does in DESIGN. The problem is always the font size.
If I design a page in 12 point, it shows up in 14 point.
I try to correct this by selecting all and replacing it
with 12 point. Nope. It still shows 14. I've checked it
in Browser Preview from my File menu and it also shows 14.

Any suggestions?

Are you using Preview in Browser or Preview Tab, always use Preview in Browser. Also how are you
applying your fonts?

Are you actually setting a font as well as the size, and do you see the size written in HTML/Code
View?

I'm really new at this - I'll go check the code now.
Thanks.

Well, I learned a bit about changing the HTML/Code. BUT
the weirdest thing is, I have to write the font two sizes
LOWER than I want it to appear! That is, if I want a 12 pt
text, I have to write font size="1" (which should create
it in 8 point.) Any other suggestions? Thanks a lot!! Joan

In Internet Explorer menu,
View->Text Size
Make sure it is set to Medium. Sounds like it is set to largest

The font sizes 1, 2, 3, 4 5 etc as listed in the font size box do NOT mean
actual size as in 1pt, 2pt, 3pt, etc

1 = 10pt
2=12pt
3=14pt etc.
