Preview & Design don't match - no solutions yet!

Thanks to those who tried to help me, but my problem
still isn't solved:

When I design in 8 pt and check it in "Preview in
Browser" it jumps two sizes and shows my text in 12 pt
(I can change font style and color with no difficulty; it
is just the size that I can't control.)

If I want it to show 12 pt, I have to design in 8 pt.

Maybe what I'm doing wrong is in creating the page. When
I save my old website pages in Front Page, I can work on
them in 12 pt and Preview in Browser shows 12 pt.
HOWEVER, when I try to use one of my old website pages as
a template for creating a new page by clicking "select
all" and then saving in Front Page, that's when I run in
to the size shift problem.

I'm still a FP rookie, but I did try to go into the code
and specify font size. Same thing happens. If I
specify "3" (which should result in 12 pt) the size
jumps. But if I specify "1" (which should result in 8 pt)
it will Preview in Browser as 12 pt

Please check the View | Text setting in your browser - it should be set to
Medium.

If your site is live, post the URL and folks can view source to see if they
can discover a "culprit".

YAY! Thanks so much, Kathleen! You solved the problem
which has been bugging me for a week. I re-set the text
size in my browser to medium and it worked!! Thanks
