Preventing folder moves

I have a network in which over a hundred users are constantly modifying
hundreds of files/folders.

Every now and then one of them will accidentally drag and drop an
entire folder into another one, effectively hiding it until I hear
about it and go looking.

How can you prevent this from happening? I've tried removing the
"move" option in Windows security permissions but that also removes
their ability to modify, which they need.

I need some more info before I'll know if I can help...

1. What do they really need to do with the files. It seems that they have
full access and that may not be what they need.
2. How exactly did you try and stop the move option...
3. I assume this is a Domain...Yes

1) They need to be able to update the files, create new files in the
folders, etc.
2) I removed the "move" checkbox underneath on the special permissions
3) Yes
