Preventing autostart

Asked this in an Apple forum, but received no response.
QuicTime autostarts every time I boot up. I close it, remove its entry from
the Run key of the registry, but on reboot, it starts up again, with the
entry restored in the Run key. How to get rid of it?

I simply unticked in msconfig, it never came back
