Hello,

In Excel 2000, whenever I paste a large paragraph into a single cell, the
cell/row height increases. Is there a way to prevent this from happening,
keeping it at the default 12.75?

Thank you in advance.

Hal.

IF you FIRST change the row height to 13 or 12.5 (a wee bit off 12.75), OR
FIRST use Format/Row/Height (and leave it as 12.75), it won't happen.
However, you may see very little of the text -- it's still marked as word
wrap.
The smallest # of steps to rectify the original problem is to do the paste,
then format the cell to NOT be word wrap.

I have a lot of pasting to do (approx. 3,000 times). They are product
descriptions. I am looking for the most effective way.

Thank you for your help.

Hal.
