Prevent IE execution

Hello everybody,

I need to prevent users from executing IE. I have tried deleting the
iexplore.exe file and it seems to be recreated when the shortcut on the
desktop is activated. Is there an alternative to assigning permissions to
individual users or group of users from the server ?

If they are accessing the internet via your company LAN would it be simpler
to have your firewall block port 80 and just "Persuade" them not to bother?
