Prevent conversion to latest version

Most of our users have Access 2000 and Access 2002, but we have some users
with Access 97 on their computers. That's why we haven't converted some of
our applications to Access 2000 format. Is there a way to prevent the Access
2000 and 2002 users from converting to the newer format whenever they open
the Access 97 databases?

Thanks for your help.

Hi.
Is there a way to prevent the Access

Yes. For Access 2002, follow this link:

For Access 2K, follow this link:

And for those who will get the newest Access 2003 version, follow this link:

The document 824260 seems to be conflicting on whether this will prevent the
conversion from 97 format to 2000 or 2003 format. Under step 11 it states
that the file will remain in Access 97 format, but in the Summary paragraph,
it says that the registry change "will not prevent conversion". Does that
only mean that you can convert it manually, or does it mean that even though
the dialog does not appear, conversion may take place automatically anyway?
Thanks!

Yes, it means that you can still convert it manually. It will not convert
automatically.
