presenter problems

I need some help with Powerpoint. Here is the situation: Dell laptop with
XP and office 2003. Connect to this a projector to show presentations onto a
screen from the laptop. How does one get this to show the audience the
presentation while letting the presenter see his/her notes for each slide on
the laptop while presenting? Is it even possible? We cannot figure it out.
HELP!
