Presentation Modes

Quick question:

Is there a presentation mode/technique that allows a computer connected to a
second screen or projector to display full screen views of the slides on the
projector but a slide by slide view on the computer itself?

Idea being, of course, the ability to view previous and following slides
while presenting.

Hi

There are 2 options - using presenter view or having edit view on one screen
and the slide show view on the other.

Presenter view:

Edit & Slide show view:
In slide show -> set up show dialogue, set 'Display slide show on' to not be
your primary monitor. You'll need to practice controlling the slide show as
the first click on either monitor only sets focus.
