Presentation with hyperlinks - documents remain opened

Presentation with lots of hyperlinks referring to many
other presentations.
During the presentations several all PowerPoint documents
will be opened by these hyperlinks and remain opened until
the presentation exits.
Any Idea how we can close the documents we do not need for
the moment while the presentation proceeds.
The way around is to recreate the presentation through
INSERT / Slide from File. I prefer to keep it the way with
the hyperlinks.
