"Preparing Outlook for first use..."

Hello

Every morning when I open Outlook (2003), I get a message "Preparing Outlook
for first use. Retrieving Mailbox settings…". Then it takes ages to be in
working shape, because it updates each folder from scratch. I tried to
delete "setup_jmelo.prf" but it reappeared again.

Any idea please ?

How did you install Outlook? Did you get it deployed by your company? If so
contact your servicedesk to take a look at it. Otherwise recreate your
profile in Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...
