Preparing for C# Exam...Not much time...what's the BEST way?

Hello,

I'm interested in taking the following exam for an upcoming job.

Exam 70-315: Developing and Implementing Web Applications with
Microsoft Visual C#â„¢ .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET.

Since the job is being offered soon I need to know the "quickest" and
"best" way to prepare for this exam. Are there any books, practice
exams, etc. that are considered "THE BEST"?

Thanks

The "best" way to prepare for any exam is to actually learn the material
cold.

As far as the "quickest" way goes, that usually involves getting previous
versions of the test and taking them over and over again until your
performance is up to the standard you want. Note that doing it this way
is unlikely to result in you having much knowledge that will help you
after the test is over.

Sorry...I don't have any personal knowledge of practice exams that would
best address the "quickest" part of your goal. While I understand the
pressures of wanting to get hired, you might want to consider whether it
would really be best for either you or the prospective employer for you to
be hired on the basis of performance on a test where your working
knowledge isn't the reason for that performance. If you come into the job
not being able to actually do the job, your employer will be dissatisfied,
making them unhappy and also undermining your own professional reputation.

It takes some resolve, but some times letting go of a short term goal is
actually best for you in the long run. You might be better off spending
extra time getting enough practical experience with writing web
applications in .NET that any studying you might do for the test is more
about polishing your performance than simply about passing the test.

Of course, for all I know you already do know the material well enough to
pass the test, and all you're really looking for is to get that extra
little polish on your performance. If so, then obviously none of the
above applies and I apologize for sticking my nose in prematurely. :)

Is taking the exam a requirement for getting the job, or are you interested
in taking it for the certification?
The particular exam you mention is not difficult, but it does have lots of
multiple choice questions that can trip you up if you do not know the
material and have not studied a lot of practice questions.
MSPress puts out study material for all of these tests, the book / CD sets
are available at most bookstores and online.

Really? Do you really want to work for a company who attributes any value to
these "certifications"...?

The easiest way is to go to any of the "exam cheat" websites, find the exam
in question, and click on "Add to cart"...

It varies from site to site, of course, but mostly this will give you the
entire pool of questions for that particular exam from which your "test"
will draw...

Here's one to get you started: http://www.examcheets.com/

1) Click 'Products'

2) Click 'Microsoft Programs'

3) Find the one you're looking for - in your particular case, 70-315 is
about two-thirds of the way down

4) Click 'Add to Cart'

5) Enter your credit card details, assuming you have sufficient funds to pay
the $14 charge - yes, that's FOURTEEN DOLLARS...

6) Learn the questions parrot-fashion the night before you site the "exam"

Utterly, utterly worthless...
