Prefetch Directory

Michael Yamada

My prefetch directory is empty and I would like to enable
the prefetch mechanism for both boot and applications.

Currently, I have the setting:

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SEssion
Manager\Memory
Management\PrefetchParameters\EnablePrefetcher = 3

The accounts system and administrators have full
permissions on the directory Windows\Prefetch.

I have rebooted the computer many times and still there
is nothing in my prefetch directory.

Thanks in advance,
Michael

The Task Scheduler service needs to be enabled for prefetch files to be
created - check that out.
