Hi there friends,
I have setup Windows 2003 RIS server and I am trying to deploy Windows XP to
the client computers.
Microsoft only offers a limitation of naming choices in the properties of the RIS server, therefor I edited the .sif file as well as the .osc file.
Now during the pre installation process I get already the prompt to enter the user name and password as well as the client computer name of my choice.
Instead though, RIS is still assigning user name1, 2,3.... as the machine name.
Is there any way to keep the entered customized computer name during the pre installation process?
