PPT to DVD

I'm looking to create a DVD of a PPT presentation. I don't need the DVD to have any PPT interactivity - I just need the DVD to replay what you would normally see on the computer screen if you were watching an automated non-interactive PPT presentation. I've done this in the past with video tape (VHS) by simply connecting the analog outputs of my video card to the inputs of the video tape recorder. Though this works, the quality isn't professional caliber - even with a high end video card. There's also a scan line conversion issue which comes into play as well but I doubt I can get that answered here

I would prefer to burn the presentation to a PC based DVD recorder straight from PPT. Utimately I want to be able to take the burned DVD and play it in any standard DVD unit. Is this possible

Thanks

John

Best quality, in my opinion, comes from recording to a domestic (set top)
DVD recorder, or to a 2nd PC with video capture. I've never been able to
capture a PowerPoint show to a video file with both full frame rate and full
(video) resolution.

Adam,

Sounds like you need a big, faster, nitrogen cooled PC. <g>

[CRITICAL UPDATE - If you are using Office 2003, you should install this
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello John,

While others are helping you around this limitation in PowerPoint, if the
ability save presentations to DVD-Video (even with unavoidable loss of some
interactivity capabilities), directly from within PowerPoint, is important
to you (or anyone else reading this message), or if there are specific
features of PowerPoint slide show distribution that you would like to see
(which might eliminate the need to save presentations as DVD-Video), don't
forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
