Good evening, Robert! I had to send a new post because I
lost our conversation history when I reformatted the hard
drive. If you recall, I could not change the background
colors in PPT. In WORD and autoshapes it worked fine.
It even worked when I inserted a WORD autoshape into PPT,
but when I tried to change the background color in PPT,
it reverted to black.
Well, good friend, I ended up reinstalling XP and Office
97 and it works great. There must have been something in
the registry that was corrupted or missing. I don't
know. I'm just thankful it is back on track. However, I
will always be perturbed by the fact that I couldn't find
the problem and fix it. But I'll sleep better tonight.
Thanks for all your help. You and Sonia have really
worked hard on this thing, and I am grateful. Please
pass this along to Sonia.
