PPT 2000 not generating .asf files when saving as web page

I understand that PPT is supposed to create some .asf
files when saving a presentation as a web page so the
narrations will work. My PPT is not generating these
files.

Please advise.

PowerPoint does not generate .asf files. PowerPoint will take any of your inserted sound files and put them into a folder named presentation_files, along with all the other generated files.
