Each time I try to open a pps file from an email, I get a message that says
their is no program associated with this file. It say to go to "set
Associations" in the control panel. There is no set associations in the
control panel. Does anyone know how to fic this problem?

Do you have PowerPoint or the free PowerPoint viewer installed?

Go to the Default Programs applet, which you can reach from the Control
Panel or through the Start menu.
