I'm having two problems.

1. Is there a way to have a student save a PPS exercise after they have
completed it?

2. Is there a way to make a PPS file not End Show if accidentally moused
pass the last slide?

Thank you for any help.

What do you mean by a "PPS Exercise"? If you are using a PPS, I assume
you expect students to view this only in Slide Show view. If that is the
case, the only changes that students can make to the show would be
through VBA (or an add-in) or by typing text in a control text box. If
you are using VBA, then just throw in ActivePresentation.Save any time
the VBA code changes something. If you are not using VBA, I don't think
you can have it automatically save.

For the other problem, you could set the transition of the last slide to
not advance on mouse click. Then you probably want to put a button on the
last slide that has Action Setting set to hyperlink to end show.

You can click File > Save as. Under save as type, select Presentation for
(.ppt), PowerPoint show for (.pps). Is that what you want?

For second one, you can loop the presentation to solve the problem.
Click Slide Show > Set Up Show.
Put a checkmark to Loop continuously until 'esc'. By doing so, the
presentation will go back to the first slide instead of ending the show. Hope
it helps.
