PP2000 vs PP2003

entPP2000, I can scan 3 documents and they will appear on three differtn
slides within Power Point. In PP2003, the three documents end up on one
slide. Without having to do the cut and past thing, how can I set-up PP2003
to do the same as PP2000?
I am using an Ikon Image Runner 200 machine for both Power Point versions,
but IKON is telling me there is a hidden file in power Point that I must
configure, but we cannot find that "hidden" file.

Neither our IKON representative nor the contract IT company can figure this
one out.
looking forward to response !

Sounds more like a problem that IKON will have to solve, assuming that they're
automating PPT to do the job. But with luck, someone else may have found a fix
for this.

When you use the scanner, do you have PowerPoint open and on the slide where
you want the image to appear?

Strictly a wild guess but make sure your cursor isn't between slides in either
slide sorter view or in the slide thumbnails pane.

Steve,
At first, I thought IKON was responsible for this dilema, but, if with
PP2000 I am using the Ikon scanner, and it works, then using PP2003 and it
does not work, leads my thinking back toward Microsoft.
So far you are the only post for this problem. I know Microsoft has
unbelievably intellegent programmers like yourself. Is there any other
Miscrosoft MVP's that may have a solution?

If anyone knew the answer, they'd surely reply. By the way, we're not MS employees
here, just volunteers, users like you.

But your logic doesn't hold up, I'm afraid. Yes, MS has made some changes between
PPT 2000 and 2003. Lots of them. But as third party (ie, add-in) software
developers, it's up to Ikon to keep up with the changes.

If the software works in an older version of PPT but not in a newer version, it
would seem that the software hasn't been updated.

Did you try my other suggestion? I'd also try clicking on the slide where you want
the scanned image to appear, to make the slide pane of Normal view the active pane.
