PP won't load/error message

When I try to execute PowerPoint 2000 I get this error message:
"PowerPoint found an error it can't correct. You should save presentations,
quit, and restart PowerPoint." Have ran the repair option on the Office 2000
install disk. Have read that it might have something to do with Norton. Don't
have and never have had Norton. None of the KB articles have specifically
addressed this error message--except one that is no longer a good link.
What is going on? I need to use PowerPoint!
Thanks in advance.

Please run the code or the utility here and let us know what add-ins are
installed.

What add-ins are loaded?

Also, close PPT and search for your *.PCB file and delete it. This is the
PPT toolbar. Next time you open PPT, it will be recreated automatically. (Be
aware that when you delete it, you'll lose any of the customizations you may
have made to it.)

Both of these things have resolved similar errors for me.
