PP with MS Agent

Chuck

I want to use the Powerpoint 2003 viewer to distribute a PP presentation on
CD that includes MS Agent to prospects who may not have Powerpoint
installed.
The only way I know to use MS Agent in PP is via Microsoft's Presentation
Narrator, a weird approach that uses macros (but at least it works!) - the
presentation works fine in PP.
However, the PP Viewer does not support macros, so the Agent stuff in the
presentation won't work with the Viewer.
Does anyone know of a way to use MS Agent in PP presentations run with the
PP 2003 Viewer (PPTVIEW.EXE) ?

Thanks in advance.

hi chuck,

take a look at programming-x.com/programming/recognition.html, you'll
find all you need there.

Chuck,

The powerpoint viewer just does not support Macros / VBA / or anything fancy like that.

So, I'm afraid the answer is no. Sorry 'n all

There is no way, that I know of, to use MS Agent with the PowerPoint Viewer.
As you have mentioned, the PPV does not support any code so can not run a
code based character.

But, MS Agent is also supported by HTML. I do not know this from
experience, but you may want to look into converting the presentation to a
browser based presentation (HTML) and inserting the Agent from that
platform. This may require a certain level of browser, but this would be
more likely to pre-exist on a higher percentage of customers computers.

There should be how-to information about this on the MS Agent web-site.
