I know to transfer a ppt to vhs I can hook a vacr up to my video card
but on my video card i have one s video connection how do i find out if
its input or output als0 are there places i can take my ppt to on a
memory stick and have them put it on vhs or dvd?

What video card (make and model) do you have? If you aren't sure, go to
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html and download the handy free program
that, when run, will give you a full inventory of your system. Under the
"Display" heading in the generated report you'll find your video card.

Most likely the S-Video port is labeled "S-Video Out" in your video cards user
manual.
