I am missing the compress option. I have tried to get it by going to File,
then save as, followed by right clicking the picture. The compress option is
not there.
 
Hi Richard,

which version of PowerPoint do you use? The compress option is only
available in PowerPoint 2002/xp and 2003. An alternative way to access it:
Right mouseclick on a photo, format image, button Compress.
