I have a ppt file that Powerpoint will not open for some reason. It is a
file I worked on and saved recently. I get a message, "Powerpoint can't open
the type of file represented by ...(name of file)."

I assume the file was corrupted somehow. Any ideas on how to deal with this?
Any way to salvage at least parts of the ppt file?

thanks; Kozmo

If nothing there works, there's one way to get some of your text out. In
Word, do File > Open > Files of type > Recover text from any document > and
point to your corrupt ppt doc.

The result is bound to be a bit of a mess, but you will get most of your
text..notes, and text from slides. Better than nothing, anyway.
