I am trying to prepare a PowerPoint presentation. I want to put it on a disk
so that others can view it. Also, I want to insert a sound file to be played
off the disk during the presentation--so that others can just insert disk and
begin the presentation. The sound file is on the disk already. However,
when I try to insert the sound file in the PowerPoint it won't allow me to
access the D. drive to tell it where the file is found.

Any ideas?

You need to put the sound file on your hard drive, in the same folder where
your PPT presentation is. Then insert the sound file into your presentation.

Then follow these instructions/links to create an autorun CD. You will burn
a data CD.
