PowerPoint Viewer Problem. Click on display does not move to next slide. Says Document Modified??

I have a problem which only occurs with certain presentations that
have been created in another version of Powerpoint from another
machine, are uploaded to the web.
(For these versions I have loaded into PP 2003 and carried out a save
as... as a new 2003 presentation .ppt)

However, when I upload to server and then view in a web page. The
Viewer displays the presentation fine.
But, if I try to navigate using mouse clicks or scroll bar, A dialog
box appears saying Document has been modified.. Click YES to Save Yor
Changes. No to Abandon Changes Cancel to Keep this Document.

Any clues as to how to fix this. ( I have downloaded the latest
version of Powerpoint Viewer.)

Something's odd here. The viewer *cannot* make changes to a document, so it
wouldn't offer a choice like this. Are you certain you're not viewing the file
in PowerPoint itself?
