Can anyone tell me how to keep table cell lines visible after adding color to
the table? The gridlines become very faint when I do this, and I would like
to keep them visible. Thanks!

Geoff

Select Format > Table then change the color of your lines to one that is more
of a contrast with the Fill color you've selected.

Thanks for responding, Sand! Do you have any idea why the line format
changes would not "take" after selecting and choosing new colors? The other
formatting changes respond (e.g., fill color of cells) respond well when I do
this?

Which version of PPT are you using?

Sandy: I am using PPT 2003.
I am using a dark blue background for the slide, so that if I cannot use the
semitransparent mode for cell-fill without getting very odd colors ( I would
like to keep the dark blue background if possible).

Thanks again,

Geoff

OK,

Select the Table
In the Table Tool Bar click the Border Color (pencil) icon.
Drop down the menu, Select White
Place your cursor on one of the borders, Click.
Deselect the Table by clicking elsewhere on the slide.
Is the border that you clicked on now white?

Voila! That works, and you have saved my day. Thanks for being so persistent
and helpful.
