Powerpoint shows inserted avi videos at 10x speed, why?

I've inserted an avi video in a powerpoint present. It was originally
an FLV file but I converted it to avi and it runs fine. Once its in
the PPT powerpoint and I try to view the presentation and click on the
video, it runs at about 10x speed. Anyone know why? Thanks.

I would start by checking the file runs in the MCI player (which PowerPoint
