PowerPoint should have text and objects over video!

It would be really cool if I could put text over and Objects over video in
PowerPoint. This would help me take my presentations to a higher level.

I agree. So long as the video clips were not too distracting, something nice
and abstract.

I agree. I've been trying to find a way to do this for the last year.

Microsoft, is there a way to do this that I've been missing?

It's currently not possible. The only workaround is to use an animated
GIF.... but the results are poor.
