PowerPoint question

If I click on a PowerPoint file sent to me I get an error message that there
is no associated program to open it. But if I save it to my desktop and
double-click it, it opens with no problem. I've already associated the
program and file but this is the only way it will open the file. My other
two PC's do not have this quirk with .pps files. Is the setting somewhere in
OE? I am running Office 97 with only Word and Excel installed but have the
PowerPoint
Viewer installed, same as the other two PC's.Thanks, Steve T.

Steve, you are using Outlook Express as an E-Mail-Client, aren't you? Than
