PowerPoint needs a "Go to" feature

PowerPoint would be easier to use if it had a goto feature like Word's
Cntrl+G that takes you straight to a specific slide.

This feature exists when you're in slide presentation mode, but not (to my
knowledge) when you're editing the deck itself (and most likely to need to
jump around).

Seen its Slide Sorter display? IMO it's better than 'jumping' to a
particular slide -- hard to remember what slide is what especially when
I am editing, i.e., adding/deleting, a presentation.

Also, in 'Normal' view, click and drag the tab in the vertical scroll
bar. PP will show you a tooltip with 'Slide x of y' and the slide
title.

The easiest work around for that is to open PPT in Slide Sorter view. That
way you can navigate visually through the slides and when you find the one
you one to work on... double click it.

When I have 100 slides, slide sorter is not as effective for going to a slide
near the end of the briefing--especially if they're still loading while
someone is hovering behind me waiting for to get to that slide. I've wished
a "Go To" would be added for PowerPoint, too.

You might want to try ProTools for PowerPoint from

toolbar allows you to go to any slide quickly.

Shift+F5+SlideNumber+Enter gets you there.
