PowerPoint MPEG file will not complete

I have several mpeg files inserted in a PowerPoint program on a desktop
computer. The program has run successfully in the past. I updated to MS
Office 2003 and a couple of the mpeg files run part way and shut down early -
before the movie is complete. This same scenario also replicates on my
laptop using MS Office 2003. Any ideas? I have checked the custom animation
and settings carefully. The files run OK in Windows Media Player. Appreciate
any help. Thanks.

First thing to do is check for updates via Help| Check for updates. Then

Thanks Glen,

After checking for updates, I reinstalled the latest update to Windows Media
Player and was successful at getting the mpegs to play completely in the
Power Point presentation.
